Texas Rangers Ship Osuna to Orlando Friday, December 25th, 1992 Sometimes a change of scenery can be a beneficial to a baseball player. That is the hope in Texas and Orlando as the teams came to an agreement today which sends 27-year-old LHP Al Osuna to the Sun Rays and 32-year-old LHP Paul Assenmacher and 28-year-old LHP Bill Wilkinson to the Rangers. "Only time will tell if this is the right move for everyone," stated the Orlando GM. Assenmacher's career stats show a 4-6 record, 80 appearances, 1 save and a 4.30 ERA. He has 79 strikeouts in 106.2 innings pitched. |
