The Baltimore pitching stalwart received the most votes and has been proclaimed this year's Cy Young Award winner. The Orioles ace starred with an impressive 17-9 record. In 32 starts, he gave up 176 base hits and struck out 289 in 259 innings with a 2.81 ERA. Opposing teams hit .190 against him. Randy Johnson of the Seattle Pilots finished second in voting, while Greg Maddux of the Los Angeles Dodgers finished third. |
