It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Federal League, but last week Bernie Williams of the Cincinnati Reds reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Williams rocked opposing pitching for a .440 average (11-for-25), 4 home runs and 9 RBIs to come away with the award.

This season Williams is batting .274 with 168 hits, 25 home runs, 77 RBIs, .352 OBP and has scored 88 runs.
