Postseason Bid Ends for Cincinnati

It won't be a season to remember for the Cincinnati Reds, as the club has officially missed out on the playoffs. The Reds were mathematically eliminated from qualification today.
"With any luck, in a couple years we will look back on the 1992 season as an important stepping stone to a title," said Cincinnati starting pitcher Mike Mussina.
Cincinnati last appeared in the postseason in 1988. This is their 4th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 11 times in their 16-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Reds have missed the playoffs 5 times.
